Due to amendments in the Financial Services Authority (FSA) Act 2000 which were implemented on 20th
July 2007, certain changes have been applied that affect the ability of courier companies to provide customers
with insurance coverage for domestic and international deliveries. As a result, the vast majority or courier
companies are currently unable to provide this coverage or are doing so illegally. Fast Lane has invested heavily
in their ability to insure your goods and are proud to announce that we are now authorized and regulated by the
Financial Services Authority and are now among a very few courier companies legally able to offer you comprehensive
coverage.
The option to insure your shipments will be offered to you during the booking process
at the percentage rates below. These rates are a percentage of the value of the goods you are sending:

Minimum premium per shipment is £13.00 which
includes a £3.00 admin fee.

* The following territories are excluded: Afghanistan, Angola, Cuba, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq,

Uganda, Zimbabwe, Countries comprised by the former territories of the USSR and any other country where
their local legislation decrees insurance must be effected locally, unless specially declared and accepted by

DHL's Standard Liability still applies on all parcels shipped through their services.
Their standard liability is as below:
DHL's liability in respect of any one Shipment transported is limited to its actual cash value
and shall not exceed the greater of USD$100 or: USD$20/kg or
USD$9.07/lb for
Shipments transported by air or other non-road mode of transportation or USD$10/kg or
USD$4.54/lb for shipments transported by road (not applicable to the U.S.A.).
